I decided to start a new fun feature, to VOTE on a question/poll each week. I'll put it up every Saturday morning, describing what the vote is all about, and the actual voting will be done via a click poll right here inside the post. It might be a random silliness vote, or we might ask for an opinion on something we are doing at the farm. I'll leave it up all week, ending Friday night, that way, more people can vote.  You don't have to comment, just click to vote.  Then, i f you are so inclined, please also feel free to discuss it here in the comments, but again, voting only is just fine too. SO...let's start things out with this one: What is your favorite season? OK, here is a fun topic for this week's poll. Which one are you?  A Mayonnaise person or a Miracle Whip person? Growing up, my parents always used Miracle whip at home, but then I spent a summer with my Grandparents and they used Mayonnaise.  I had never had it and was instantly hooked.  Have been a mayo guy every since. Recently, on a whim, 2nd Man bought some Miracle Whip (he had never had it) for some homemade sandwiches and he's hooked on that!  So now, when I go to the store, I have to buy one jar of each!  Of course, we often make homemade mayo (more on that in a future post), but we are currently using both, depending on the "mood" I suppose. However, if I had to CHOOSE, I'd choose Mayo. So I'm not going to let you off the hook here either.  If you could only have one or the other for the rest of your life, which would it be? OK, here is another interesting topic for this week's poll: Are you a "Night Owl" or a "Morning Person"? Morning or Night? I have no hesitation on this one; I'm most definitely a night owl.  I can stay up until midnight or 1am regularly without problem.  It seems I can get more done at night than in the morning.  2nd Man is quite the opposite.  He's usually asleep by 10pm, and up at the crack of dawn in the morning, cleaning the kitchen, baking or cooking something, or just watching TV.  Unless it's a work day, I'm not up at the crack of dawn, that's for sure!  During the work week, it's "snooze button, snooze button, snooze button" until the last possible moment. Funny thing though, when I know I have something exciting to do the next day, for example, leave on a trip, or maybe even while on vacation or something like that, I can get up early very easily, maybe the excitement of the day ahead? My dilemma now is what ha...

Mmmm...almost everyone loves chocolate.  It's one of the most ubiquitous tastes on the planet.  So the big question is, what is your favorite? White Chocolate?  Milk Chocolate?  Dark Chocolate? What's Your Flavor of Chocolate? We are a split household around here.  I mean, who are we kidding, we love all chocolate, but I'll admit that my favorite is white chocolate.  2nd Man is partial to dark chocolate, the darker the better.  I am not as big a fan of dark, between that and milk, I'd choose the milk chocolate. Probably one of the biggest debates of the holiday season: When do you open your presents? Christmas Eve?  Christmas Morning? As usual, split household around here.  I grew up opening presents Christmas Eve, after I grew up a bit, and that was our tradition always.  Mom would make a wonderful lasagna dinner, we'd sit around for a bit after dinner and dessert and then we'd open gifts.  2nd Man grew up with always opening on Christmas morning.  Our tradition is sort of evolving.  Over the years we've done one way and then another.  Not sure what will happen this weekend, I'll let you know, ha. SO...Christmas Eve presents or Christmas Morning presents? Of course, this is not necessarily counting "Santa's presents", when that time is appropriate with the kids. With New Years here, I figured, this week's poll would be an easy one.   Do you make New Year's Resolutions or not? Do you make a list of them?  Do you follow them?  Do they really help?  I think we always make them but not sure we always follow them.  One of our dearest friends in the world told us that it's better to set goals instead of calling them resolutions.  She asked us tonight what ours were.  We had to say that we hadn't thought too much of it.  Definitely need to work on the exercise thing, but we also want to get the farmhouse finished and up and running, and get the gardens going too.  I sometimes have this want to have it all finished as soon as  possible, but we have lots of time.
