Haven't had a vintage poster image in a while and with the heat this weekend, and not much going on outside, here is one for you.  This is from WWI and is part of the "save wheat for soldiers" plan.

Though at albs per person per week, I wonder if complete victory today would be over not gaining weight, LOL.

Seed technologist use the term of refers to non-germination resulting from conditions within the seeds.  Dormancy is the state of inhibits growth of seeds or other plant organs as a result of internal causes not due to environmental condition. In other word, the unavailability of well developed mature, perfectly viable and healthy seed to germinate when placed under favorable conditions for germination is called dormancy or rest period of seed. Nature of Damage 3 species of hopper causes serious damage to the inflorescence. Heavy laying on inflorescence causes  dropping and withering of the fruits. Both nymphs and adult suck juice from the flowers, resulting shedding  and withering of the flowers. In case of severe attack, honey dew secreted by the hoppers over the  inflorescence and leaves, giving rise to development. Shoote mold which hinders the setting of fruits.
